Spring Break! Part I.

Our two week Spring Break started last Friday so we headed off to the beach where Spring Breaks are best spent. It was Kelley, Kelly, Lauren, myself and our two Finnish friends Emma and Noora. We took the bus from Nicosia to Ayia Napa in the afternoon and the bus even stopped right at our hotel (thats Cyprus). Some of our international friends were at the beach that day so we decided to go meet them at Nissi Beach. Nissi Beach is beautiful. It was a bit chilly so we peaced out from the beach and went straight to all you can eat Pizza Hut for 7 euros!! : D After dinner we went back to our wonderful, 2 bedroom hotel room with a kitchen, a balcony, and a view of the water, to make sangria. After our cheeks were warm, we decided to explore a but more. We ended up at a little carnival place where they have one of those super scary Sling Shot rides. Just looking at it made my palms sweat. The price to go on was 20 euros a person and so we were like No way! But being the wonderful American girls that we are, he agreed to let us ride for 5 euros each! A sweet deal. Lauren and I climbed aboard and I screamed the entire time. It wasn't so bad. Afterwards the guy even gave us the DVD of our ride for free! Good night.

The next morning we woke up and made our way to the beach. Thats how we spent the next two days. Sleeping on the beach and swimming in the turquoise water. At night we went to happy hour at Senior Frogs to have fun fruity drinks and dance to 80's music at a club called CarWash. We also ran into a pair of American guys who were the first Americans not in GLS that we've met in Cyprus. It was a great time. On Monday the girls and I went to explore the rocky cliffs were me and Doug had gone when he came to visit. We went swimming in the cold water and explored some awesome caves! It was soooo cool. If mermaids existed I am confident that that is where they would live. Afterwards, we had lunch at a place right next to the water. It was a perfect way to end our great beach vaca. We are back in Nicosia now unpacking only to repack because tomorrow its off to Greece, Italy, and Spain!! Stay tuned for Spring Break Part II!!
